Yesterday we had four students represent Wood River at the Youth Prevention Summit in Grand Island. Students learned the health effects of smoking/vaping, drug use and the current tactics big tobacco uses to target youth. Then they learned about different prevention strategies and worked together to plan how they want to present this information to their peers. Very proud of their leadership and can't wait to see their plan come together!
The girls portion of the Broken Bow/Arcadia-Loup City Triangular scheduled for November 30 is canceled.

8th grade US History students are making decisions as a team as they encounter obstacles and challenges along the the Lewis and Clark expedition. The dice determine the outcome of their decisions. Fun opportunity to learn about the exploration of the west and build some teamwork.

6th graders practice descriptive writing by constructing "spooky houses" had to draw visuals and write detailed paragraphs. Finally Auctioning off today to see whose house will sell to the highest bidder! Saw some great creations!
